Helping Your Business Start, Grow and Succeed
"“Just when you think that the SBDC has provided enough resources and information, they let you know that they have more referrals or more topics. The help didn’t only end when we started the business, they continued to provide us with knowledge that we need to be successful ” – Alice Tang, Partner Sunny Grove Preschool and Childcare.

Sunny Grove Preschool and Childcare

Sunny Grove Preschool and Childcare offers educational care to ages 6 months to 4 years old. At Sunny Grove, their mission is to provide child care that is above the expectations of families and to guide each child’s educational and individual needs. Rooted in passion and hard work, they thrive to inspire their children to become responsible, independent and compassionate individuals. What inspired Alice, Autumn, and Elisha to start this childcare center was the lack of services and knowledge for preschoolers in the educational system. They really studied what would be best for their children; they researched the best processes for child development and enrollment flexibility for working moms. Their teaching philosophy is giving children the tools to help them grow to be independent, grow confidence, and cultivate awareness with information and peers. They felt the importance of starting a daycare center that would provide these fundamental tools to the children in the community.

Our consultant Dennis Murphy was able to guide them through the process of site selection and obtaining the funds to remodel their location. After 2 years of securing a location and remodeling the facility, they were able to launch their business in December 2022!
