Gerbo Creative didn’t begin in a boardroom or with a carefully crafted five-year plan. It started at a kitchen table in 2007, during a pivotal moment when life took an unexpected turn. After being laid off while expecting her first child, founder Sally Gerbo chose to transform uncertainty into opportunity. What began as a way to stay home with her son while continuing to help businesses with their marketing and creative needs soon evolved into a thriving full-service agency. 
As she launched her business, Sally recognized the value of having expert guidance to help turn her vision into a sustainable company. Through one-on-one business advising, she received support in developing a comprehensive business plan, gaining a deeper understanding of her financials, and learning how to effectively manage the numbers behind her business.
Sally gained a stronger understanding of what it takes to successfully operate and grow a business through one-on-one advising with the SBDC. Working closely with her advisor, Claudia Newcorn, she developed practical strategies and acquired valuable tools. By putting those resources into practice, Sally has been able to steadily expand Gerbo Creative, continuing to grow her business year after year.
Building on the guidance gained through working with the SBDC, Gerbo Creative has experienced continued revenue growth while remaining deeply committed to giving back to the community.
