Helping Your Business Start, Grow and Succeed
"I had a wonderful experience with SBDC! It was exactly what I needed to get my business up and running. Rhonda, who has such a helpful and pleasant personality, supplied me with the framework to get organized and plan for my opening. The checklists were a huge help for me to map out a timeline to accomplish what I needed and to prioritize certain things over others. The Zoom meetings were nice to connect with Rhonda face to face. Being held accountable to these meetings supported my advancement to the next step. I also very much appreciated that Rhonda always made it known that if I needed anything else, to check in and ask her. I highly recommend and appreciate the resources of SBDC! Thank you so much for all of the hard working folks who make this possible and available to people like me who need some extra help to achieve their business dreams!” - Norah Whitehead, Owner

The Clever Crow

Norah first came to SBDC in October 2021. She had a dream of opening a second hand and consignment shop in the tourist town of Twain Harte. Her goal was to get the business set up right to help her grow and sustain it over time.

Norah and our business advisor, Rhonda Lowe went through all of the steps of start-up from creating a business plan, determining start-up costs, site selection, marketing, budgets and projections. Rhonda also spent time helping Norah understand the intricacies of running a consignment shop. Norah worked hard on getting all of her action steps done, while working at another job.

Norah secured her location in January 2022 and opened for business on March 11, 2022. Her shop is adorable and filled with the most amazing variety of items. There is definitely something for everyone!
