Contracting and Procurement
Valley Sierra SBDC has launched the Contract Ready Program – A program designed to connect small businesses of Stanislaus County with government and private contracting opportunities.

The Contract Ready Program
The Contract Ready Program was developed in response to a growing regional opportunity.
Billions of dollars in public and private contracts are awarded each year, going to companies outside of our community. The reason for this? Many small businesses lack the technical knowledge, preparation, and connections needed to pursue them. As a result, local companies are often outbid or discouraged from entering the contracting space altogether.
Through one-on-one advising, workshops, and hands-on support, the Contract Ready Program helps businesses prepare essential materials, understand contracting requirements, and pursue opportunities with local governments and large institutions.
The Contract Ready Program is open to all small businesses in Stanislaus County that have been in business for 2.5 years and are interested in pursuing government or large private sector contracts, including those new to procurement, as well as established businesses seeking to grow.
As a part of this program we help you:
- Find contracting opportunities
- Get registered on contracting platforms
- Obtain city, state and federal certifications
- Market your business to government agencies
- Create capability statements
