In April 2025, the client came to the SBDC as an established business seeking assistance with organizing their business plan and financial records. Their primary objective was to secure a business loan, and they were looking for guidance on the proper next steps to acquiring the capital their business needed.
Upon becoming a client of the SBDC, the business was connected with an SBDC advisor, Nate Henderson. Throughout their time working together, Nate conducted a thorough review of the client’s financial statements and provided guidance on accurately preparing their profit and loss statements and balance sheets. He also evaluated the client’s inventory and operational costs, helping identify strategic financial adjustments and recommending the most effective course of action to support the client’s goal of securing a business loan.
Over the course of 25 hours of advising, Nate provided comprehensive support in assisting the client finalize their financial statements and fulfilling all requirements necessary for the loan application. In September 2025, the completed loan package was submitted to the lender. By October 2025, the client successfully secured a six-figure business loan with Valley First Credit Union to help their business grow.
