The inspiration behind Riverbank Powder Coating began with a practical need, as the owners initially pursued powder coating for their own personal use and quickly recognized the value. Through their experience, they developed both a passion for the craft and an understanding of its broader potential, ultimately expanding into a full-scale business. Today, Riverbank Powder Coating is committed to delivering exceptional results, using advanced technology and employing a dedicated team that shares the same mindset. 
The client reconnected with the SBDC in February 2025 seeking guidance and support in securing funding for business expansion. Specifically, they were interested in obtaining a business loan to facilitate the purchase of commercial property. The client looked to the SBDC for expert advice on identifying appropriate funding options, understanding loan requirements, and determining the most strategic next steps. 
The Valley Sierra SBDC connected the client with finance advisor, Nate Henderson, who provided hands-on support throughout the loan packaging and application process. Over the course of approximately one year, Nate offered consistent guidance and clarity at every stage. Through a total of 26 hours of one-on-one counseling, he assisted the client in navigating financial requirements, organizing necessary documentation, and strengthening their loan application. This ongoing support ultimately contributed to the successful closing of the client’s loan in March 2026.
The clients successfully secured two commercial loans through Bank of the Sierra to finance the purchase of their CRE owner-occupied commercial property. A portion of the loan proceeds will be allocated toward key property improvements, including concrete work, perimeter fencing, and the installation of a fire suppression system. These enhancements will not only improve the functionality and safety of the facility, but also position the business for long-term stability.
The client believes that connection to capital and personalized, one-on-one advising were the most valuable aspects of the assistance they received. Their advisor played a critical role in connecting them with the appropriate lender and guiding them through the loan packaging process to ensure a successful outcome.
